2024-2025 ARC Mission

Current Mission: 2024-2025 NASA Student Launch

This year, our team decided to do something we have never done and compete in NASA's Student Launch Initiative! This challenge involves middle school, high school and university-level teams creating a high-powered launch vehicle and payload components to an altitude determined by the range safety officer and team. There is a required subscale build and launch before the full scale rocket is to be constructed. This process also involves a series of design reviews with a NASA review panel that must each be passed before moving on in the competition. For this mission, our team will be launching Pegasus II as our subscale on January 7, 2025, and launching Pegasus VII as our full-scale in May 2025 in Huntsville, AL during launch week.
STEM Engagement is also prioritized in this challenge. There is a 250 direct/education requirement for this competition, meaning our team must educate a minimum of 250 individuals on a STEM-related topic with a hands-on approach.
